Rebuilding conflict and post conflict zones through education and culture

1998 | Regards d’enfants sur le chantier du stade de France – Paris

Over a period of two years, the Lucerna association worked with 200 inner city children from the Seine Saint-Denis area, so that they could through their amateur photographs to embrace and make their own the colossal building site that was to become the French National football Stadium. Encouraged by professional photographers like their professor Josselyne Minet, the children learned basic photographic skills by assembling their own hand-made cameras. Presented at the Gallery, these photographs which were collated into a book – gave a unique insight into the children’s very distinctive point of view.
